Mother of Thousands (MOT) is one of the easiest plants to propagate. They can be left outside in warm weather, they barely need any care and they never stop growing new pups. Hence the name Mother of Thousands. It is the plant that keeps on giving.

The best part about this plant is that you can gift it to friends, family or even co-workers. There is a saying that if you propagate a plant and give it to someone for free, it is good luck. Even if someone tells you they don’t have a green thumb, this is a hardy plant that even the weak cannot kill.

The MOT plant has many different varieties too. They come in different colors, shapes and sizes. The MOT that I currently have is nicknamed Mexican Hat. Another popular MOT is the Leopard.

If you want a plant that keeps on giving and is low maintenance, this is your best choice in my opinion.
